Thanks girl! Its definitely hard to work in public health and not feel like a hypocrite every time I skip yoga or sip on a diet soda (which I currently am…ouch)!
But we got this! I like to think having my own struggles will make me more relatable as a health educator and make me more capable of providing practical advice!!
I love your blog and I am a-following (my personal tumbr is nicoleevelyn so thats me following and liking your stuff)
Happy Weekend!
Yesterday was a great day. The sun was shining, I stayed within my calorie range (with room to spare), and I went for a run. ![]()
I FEEL GREAT.
I needed this. I really, really did.
I was lacking motivation and self-efficacy (the belief in my ability to do it).
I was almost ready to just call it quits.
As I walked home from campus I craved to binge on chips and salsa but as I felt the hot sun beating down on my exposed arms (about which I am SUPER self-conscious) I decided I would give in to my chips and salsa craving. BUT I decided I would measure out a serving of chips and eat NO MORE.
For the first time in a LONG LONG time that worked!
I tracked and measured everything I ate. I was under. AND MOST IMPORTANTLY: I felt super full :)
Today: I am honestly eager and excited to have another successful day.
Cue hopeful relief. ![]()
